Robert Potter has over twenty years of experience in Business Process Improvement and innovation in a variety of leading companies, including Barclays Bank group, Avery Dennison, Vodafone, US Air Force, LM, DOD, EMC2, Bilfinger and Boston consulting Group.
Robert Potter is an accredited Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Master Black Belt, Lean Practitioner, Prince two consultant and a Business Insolvency Recovery Specialist.
Robert has a wide range of in-depth experience in manufacturing, Telecoms, IT, Transactional Order Management, Call Centre, Pharmaceutical, Financial- Environments & Logistics across many regions and cultures.
Process improvement activities include training, mentoring, problem solving and program management at all organisation levels, Accrediting Lean Six Sigma, Yellow Belts, Green Belts, Black Belts, Kaizen facilitators, LSS Mentors, Program Sponsors and Project Managers.
In 2018 RP Consulting was delighted to be one of only ten providers to receive the Lean Construction Ireland Commendation.

National Standards Authority of Ireland
Over a 2-year period RP Consulting provided accredited Lean six sigma training to Staff, and mentored staff through several business process improvement projects.
In addition to mentoring and implementing improvements, RP consulting worked with the board to develop the NSAI business strategy for the following 5 years. This included gathering ideas and proposals from all staff and working with the business managers to develop their business plans so that the goals of the organisation were owned and being met by all staff.

RP Consulting carried out several accredited process improvement training sessions.
Irish Blood Transfusion Services
RP Consulting carried out a review of the Irish Blood Transfusion Services’ supply and distribution processes, from how Blood was treated for use as a drug (to transform it from raw material to suitable for transfusion) to the full supply chain.
RP consulting mapped the’ as is’ process for supplying remote hospitals and recorded how much blood required destroying as it had gone beyond its expiry date. Robert Potter designed a new distribution process introducing Kan Ban to the system so that when a blood product in a remote location is nearing its expiry date it automatically issues an order for a replacement, while placing itself on a transfer to a busy hospital where it will be used. RP consulting then worked with Universal trace to assist in the implementation of the proof of concept of a system to manage this new process.
Department of Jobs Enterprise and Innovation
RP Consulting provided process improvement training to senior government officials, Judges and the employment courts staff. Who undertook a major improvement project.
The project had to amalgamate seven legal government departments relating to work-place relations and employment law in Ireland into one department. As part of this project constitutional changes had to be proposed and pass through both houses of the Irish government system. Today that new body is known as the Works Relations Commission (WRC).
